Warming up to color
As comfortable as he is embracing change and incorporating new technology into the practice, there's one aspect of the renovation that the doctor was far less comfortable with - decorating. He said that he knows whether or not he likes something, but wouldn't know what to pick. That's why he called on a professional interior designer to lend a hand in choosing colors, fabrics, lighting and artwork. The result is a warm, contemporary office space that Ross calls “a sanctuary,” bathed in soft golden tones, greens and browns. The entryway features a beautiful curved wood desk and a carpeted sitting area with chairs upholstered in a silky, light green fabric with brown accents. Large, framed photos of the D.C. area line one wall, and the main hallway features ice cream cone paintings done by a local artist.

The floor throughout is a honey-colored tile that looks like wood, leading down the main hallway into an imaging room and nine large operatories with double-door entryways to improve traffic flow. Each operatory is outfitted with new A-dec chairs, lights and cabinetry. In addition to added operatories, a large office and staff lounge were added off the main hallway.
